Be a leading company- Offer internships to IT college students
MCWT partner companies and prospective intern employers can Inspire through Action:
This program is for first- or second-year college students pursuing computer science or an equivalent as a major with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Some qualifications include having a general knowledge of standard office applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel) and an understanding of basic IT skills (e.g. coding, data, hardware/software, process). Interns will gain experience in new technologies, work in professional teams and improve communication skills. This is a great opportunity to become a part of the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation.
Additionally, partner companies from the MCWT community who specialize in IT staffing are also available as part of this intern program for onboarding and hiring of the intern, if you would prefer to work through one of these firms.
We encourage you to share your company profile; number of intern openings and intern job descriptions for this program; suggested start and end dates; and key contact information. Candidates will be selected by an intern selection committee and robust application process with MCWT scholars given first priority for placement. We will be conducting rolling reviews to match candidates to available intern positions and will invite you to participate in the matching/approval process. The intern program runs from June to September for a minimum 6 weeks with possible extension options.
