Neighborhood House's Blast Off-2-School Program Gears Up Students for the Academic Journey Ahead

Neighborhood House, in partnership with Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital and the Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan, is once again gearing up to equip hundreds of eligible students for success as they embark on the new school year through its Blast Off 2 School program.

This vital initiative comprises two key events:

  • Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital will offer complimentary health screenings and sports physicals on Thursday, Aug. 1, from 3 to 7 p.m. Attendees will receive comprehensive health appraisal forms upon completion of the screenings.
  • The back-to-school supply pickup event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each participant will receive essential items including backpacks, school supplies, clothing, and hygiene kits generously provided by the Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan.

Both events will be hosted at Neighborhood House's main office situated at 1720 S. Livernois in Rochester Hills. They are open to Neighborhood House clients and families with children aged 4-18 who qualify for free and reduced lunches, residing in Addison Township, Auburn Hills, Oakland Township, Rochester, or Rochester Hills. Valid identification is required for participation.

Keen to join? Register at https://www.ranh.org/events by Wednesday, July 31st.

Eager to lend a hand? Neighborhood House is accepting donations for school supplies until Thursday, Aug. 8.
