OVERVIEW

Emerge! is an art festival presented by Hannan Center, open to emerging artists aged 55 and up. Artists are invited to submit up to two pieces of work that align with the competition’s theme, which will be judged by a panel of esteemed art professionals and voted on by the arts community. Winners will be announced during a day of arts-focused activities at Hannan Center.

*Only for 2024, we are thrilled to introduce the Next Generation Awards, celebrating artists aged 54 and younger as well.

The contest is open to the public in two categories:

1. Artists 55 and Older:
   Open to artists aged 55 and up who are caregivers or whose art reflects caregiving.
2. 2024 Next Generation Artists:
   Open to artists aged 54 and younger who are caregivers or whose art reflects caregiving.

• Limit two pieces per artist
• All levels of experience are welcome to submit
• All media types are accepted

Application submission deadline:  Friday, July 12, 2024 by 11:59 PM

Artists will be notified of their acceptance into the exhibit by July 18, 2024. Winners will be announced at the Festival event on August 24, 2024.
