Friends of the Rouge

Event:
Plymouth Twp. Rain Gardens 101 Workshop

Come find out about rain gardens, and how you can build one in your own yard! This one-hour introductory workshop is free and open to the public – everyone is welcome.

In a rain garden, Michigan native plants soak up rainwater runoff before it flows into storm drains. Rain gardens reduce neighborhood flooding, basement backups, and pollution flowing into your Rouge River. Rain gardens also provide beautiful habitat for songbirds, butterflies and other important pollinators.

Plymouth Township is also getting a new rain garden this spring! At this workshop, you’ll find out how you can be a part of this groundbreaking event too.

Register today for this Plymouth Twp. Rain Gardens 101 Workshop, and share with your neighbors, friends, and family!
