DINE WITH A PURPOSE!
What's for dinner... or lunch... on Wednesday, October 23rd? We hope it is Mittens and Gloves! Well, let's rephrase this. We hope you will join Mittens for Detroit at the Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern in Bingham Farms for a Dine 'N Donate event. Rusty Bucket will donate 15% of your food and (soft) beverage bill to Mittens for Detroit to be used to buy new mittens and gloves for kids in Pontiac!
This is good for dine-in and carry-out, from 11am-9pm. All you have to do is show them this flyer (on paper or on your phone), scan the QR Code, upload a photo of your itemized receipt, and they will take care of the rest! Rusty Bucket has GREAT food, a super atmosphere, and they certainly do care about our community. Mittens for Detroit will have a Community Collection Box there if you want to drop off new, warm, durable mittens and gloves!
About Mittens for Detroit in Pontiac... In 2021 as we were coming out of the pandemic, a team of businesses and community groups came together with Mittens for Detroit to provide new, warm, durable mittens and gloves to the children in Pontiac. Our goal was to reach all of the Pontiac School District children as well as other programs that serve kids in Pontiac. The program was hugely successful, and we are in our fourth year! More than 15,000 pairs were collected, purchased, and distributed over the three years! Now in our fourth year, our outreach and goals have increased.
