Join us back on the links! Building on Spaulding’s history of successful golf outings, we are proud to announce our 2024 Scramble at Farmington Hills Golf Club. While you enjoy the beautiful course, you are helping us raise funds to continue our work as a national leader in foster care and adoption. Through your support we will develop and provide parenting support, resources, and training for families and professionals. Spots are limited so don't miss this wonderful day where friendships are made and renewed on and off the course.

• The Spaulding Scramble is Spaulding’s only fundraising event.
• For many years Spaulding benefited from golf outings led by longtime supporter and former Detroit Lions Mike Lucci.
• In 2022 board leadership brought back the golf outing sensing that community members would welcome the opportunity to gather after the isolation of the pandemic. 
• The 2022 and 2023 Scrambles exceeded goals for net funds raised.
• Funds raised are utilized to build stronger families and stronger communities 
  • Training for caregivers 
  • Free adoption services 
  • Provide items like car seats, clothing, household good or items not covered by health insurance.
  • Transportation assistance 
  • Free events for our families 
• The 2024 Scramble is continuing the contests including a $10,000 Hole in One and Beat the Pro. 
• Player spots fill up quickly and this year they are capped at 132. 
• Many professionals find the outing an opportunity to network with other corporate leaders.

Overview of Spaulding for Children services:

• In the last year, 228 children/youth received services and approximately 75% of caregivers were relatives. 
• We served 210 families, including prospective and existing foster and kinship families.
• We held 19 Support Group sessions for caregivers.
• To date, over 4,000 parents who are fostering, adopting or caring for relatives participated in the National Training and Development Curriculum for Foster and Adoptive Parents NTDC classes.
• 89% of every dollar donated to Spaulding goes towards our mission.

• 45% of children discharged from foster care returned home
• 37% of children discharged due to adoption or guardianship
• 82% of children discharged achieved their permanency goal
• 51% increase in completed adoptions

Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Program in the last year 

• 60% of the matched goals achieved
• 14% achieved permanency
