First-Generation Hispanic Professionals to serve as mentors

We are looking for Hispanic professionals to serve as “Padrinos” or “Madrinas,” mentors that will support our students as they work to get to and through college.

We are excited to announce that MiHC has partnered with Strive for College, an online mentoring platform. Through UStrive, you will be matched as a mentor with one or two of our MiHC scholars and virtually communicate with your mentee(s). Through this virtual mentorship program, you can make a difference anytime from anywhere.

The UStrive platform will allow you to conduct all of your communication (including instant messaging, video chats, phone calls, texts, etc.) through one platform, without requiring you to share personal contact information with your mentee(s). UStrive also has robust support information that can help navigate the conversation throughout the year. This powerful virtual platform will enable us to reach more students and eventually scale across Michigan and beyond.
