What We Do
St. Francis Camp on the Lake is a 501-(c)3, non-profit organization committed to providing the ultimate camp experience to children and adults with developmental disabilities. We are a premier camping facility for those with special needs. Our 36-acre site includes 195 feet of waterfront located on the shores of Goose Lake, sandy beach, rustic woods, developed nature trails, sports area, adventure course and two beautiful cedar lodges where campers and counselors are housed.
We provide week long summer camp programs which are aimed at inspiring individual campers to be potent, loving, contributing human beings. Our specially designed programs truly empower the individual camper.
Interesting Info
We typically server around 350 individuals per season. Nearly 10,000 campers served since our founding.
According to the CDC children living in urban areas were more likely to have been diagnosed with a developmental disability.
Our goal is to become the premier camping facility in the midwest for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
