What We Do
The Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is one of southeast Michigan’s most established animal shelters, serving Oakland County and beyond since 1953. Our history and experience combined with constant evaluation of trends in animal welfare and sheltering have made us a necessary presence and respected asset within the community we serve. We call ourselves "A different breed of shelter" because we care deeply about the mental and physical wellbeing of our animals. No animal is just tossed in a cage and left there until adoption. Our residents get daily puzzles, exercise time, snuggle time, lots of treats and snacks, group playtime, and more!
Interesting Info
MARL serves over 1,500 homeless and at-risk animals every year.
