Calling all gardening enthusiasts, who enjoy working with youth!
My name is Willa Strawder, I am the Program and Sustainability Director for the Community Treehouse Center Detroit. We are a 501c3 in the Jefferson-Chalmers neighborhood and you can learn more about us here (www.manistiquetreehouse.org). This summer, we are looking to provide gardening enrichment for teens and need volunteers to assist for 20 hours a week for 6 weeks. The opportunity will occur in the Jefferson-Chalmers neighborhood at our Creative Empowerment Gardens starting July 8th-August 16th. Volunteers will lead 10-20 youth in gardening, mulching, weeding and cleaning up the gardens.
