Are you a student or recent graduate passionate about web development and using technology for social good? The Austin Foundation is looking for a Website Developer Intern to help us enhance our online presence and improve user experience—helping students prepare for college, trade careers, or the workforce through our nonprofit programs.

As a Website Developer Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to design, update, and optimize our website to better connect with students, parents, educators, and supporters. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring our resources, programs, and events are easily accessible and engaging.

You will be able to:

🖥️ Update & maintain The Austin Foundation’s website to improve functionality and usability.
🌍 Enhance user experience (UX/UI) by creating an engaging, easy-to-navigate design.
🔍 Optimize website performance for speed, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
💡 Implement new features that support our programs and outreach efforts.
📊 Analyze web traffic & engagement to improve content and layout.
🤝 Collaborate with our marketing and content teams to keep information fresh and relevant.

We are looking for:

✔️ A student or recent graduate in computer science, web development, IT, or a related field.
✔️ Experience with website platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace.
✔️ Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (bonus for experience with PHP or Python).
✔️ A passion for user-friendly design, accessibility, and social impact.
✔️ Bonus: Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, or UX/UI design is a plus!

Details:

📍 Remote or hybrid opportunities available (based on location).
