Are you a student or recent graduate passionate about writing, storytelling, and making an impact? The Austin Foundation is looking for a Storytelling Intern to help us share powerful stories that highlight the impact of our programs, inspire our community, and empower young adults with life skills, mental health awareness, financial literacy, and personal growth.

As a Storytelling Intern, you’ll craft compelling narratives that highlight the real-life experiences of students, volunteers, and supporters—bringing our mission to life, expanding our reach, and inspiring engagement. Your stories will play a key role in helping students prepare for college, trade careers, or the workforce through our nonprofit programs.

You will be able to:

📝 Write & edit engaging stories for blogs, social media, newsletters, and our website.
🎤 Interview program participants, volunteers, and team members to capture meaningful experiences.
📚 Research & develop storytelling strategies to enhance our nonprofit’s voice.
💡 Shape narratives that highlight the challenges, growth, and successes of young adults in our programs.
📢 Collaborate with our team to create impactful content for marketing and outreach.

We are looking for:

✔️ A student or recent graduate in journalism, creative writing, communications, marketing, or a related field.
✔️ Strong writing and editing skills with a passion for storytelling.
✔️ Ability to interview, research, and craft compelling narratives.
✔️ Interest in nonprofit work, youth empowerment, and community impact.
✔️ Bonus: Experience with social media content, video storytelling, or photography is a plus!

Details:

📍 Remote or hybrid opportunities available (based on location).
🕒 10-15 hours per week.
💡 Unpaid internship (can qualify for course credit—check with your school).
