Brilliant Detroit

This Earth Day, help us enhance our learning environments and keep our hubs as thriving, safe spaces for education and play. We aim to tackle areas for improvements in our neighborhoods by beautifying the hub and surrounding areas and by ensuring our hubs are clean, inviting, and secure. What better way to celebrate the arrival of this beautiful weather than by throwing on some garden gloves and joining us on Earth Day, April 22, 2024 at the location below:

When: Monday, April 22nd, 2024 (Shift 1: noon - 2:00 pm & Shift 2: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm) 

Where: Brilliant Littlefield 12789 Indiana Ave., Detroit, MI 48238

What: 

• Volunteers would help clean flower beds
• Lay rubber mulch
• Clear weeds cut down overgrown bushes and trees 
• Help clear trash from brilliant house to the corner
• Plant cold weather crops
   

Volunteer Details/Needs: 

• This event will take place outside so dress for the weather and in comfortable clothes that can get dirty
• Some volunteers will need to lift and carry up to 20lbs 
• Volunteers must be able to walk up and down stairs (bathroom access inside the house requires the use of stairs)
