Each April/May, our Brilliant Detroit team, participants and volunteers gather at each of our neighborhood hubs for spring cleaning and garden build-out parties. We know that spring symbolizes a time of rebirth and growth, so we take this time to come together as a community to clean-up our yards, prepare our beds and gardens, and plant some flowers. It is also a time for us to renew our commitment to kid success neighborhoods. What better way to celebrate the arrival of this beautiful weather than by throwing on some gloves and joining us to beautify our most recent location on , April 12, 13 & 20, 2024 at the location and times below:
When:
Friday, April 12th, 2024 from 3-6 p.m.
Saturday, April 13th, 2024 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Saturday, April 20th, 2024 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Where: Brilliant Russell Woods 4203 Sturtevant, Detroit, MI 48204
What:
- General Landscaping
- Cleaning of and around the home
- Sorting and Organizing
Volunteer Details/Needs:
- This project will take place outside so dress for the weather and in comfortable clothes that can get dirty
- Some volunteers will need to lift and carry up to 20lbs
- Volunteers must be able to walk up and down stairs (bathroom access inside the house requires the use of stairs)
