Community Housing Network (CHN) is always in need of donation of basic necessities. When CHN gets a person or family into a stable housing, we offer them with a "Welcome Home Basket" to provide for their most basic necessities. All done through the support of people like you!
These baskets are usually laundry baskets that are filled with supplies such as; dish soap, sponges, kitchen towels, disinfecting wipes/sprays, paper towel, can opener, toilet paper, hand soap, shower curtains with rings, bath mat, plunger, shampoo/conditioner, body wash/soap, deodorant, and other hygiene products. The things you need to feel at home.
Hosting a donation drive is an excellent group activity for students, service groups, churches, and coworkers. Make it a competition for best basket, a group outing to hunt for deals, tie it to a lesson in budgeting, have fun while doing great things for your neighbors in need.
