Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated intern to assist with outreach and administration for our solar training program for youth with disabilities. The Solar Training Program aims to provide valuable skills and opportunities for young individuals, making them more self-reliant and environmentally conscious. As an intern, you will play a vital role in spreading the word about this program, connecting with schools, students, and administrators, and ensuring its success.
Key Responsibilities:
- School Outreach: Identify schools and educational institutions to share information about the Solar Training Program. Connect with school staff and schedule appointments for program presentations.
- Student Engagement: Talk to students about the benefits of the program and answer their questions. Encourage and motivate them to participate.
- Administrative Support: Assist with program administration, including managing enrollment, scheduling classes, and tracking student progress.
- Social Media Management: Maintain the organization's social media profiles, posting updates about the program, sharing success stories, and engaging with the online community.
- Supporter Engagement: Make calls and send emails to program supporters, updating them on the program's progress and soliciting feedback and suggestions.
- Research Funding Opportunities: Identify potential funding sources, grants, and scholarships that can support the Solar Training Program. Assist in grant applications and fundraising efforts.
- Data Management: Maintain records and databases related to program activities and student participation.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a college or university program (or recent graduate).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Interest in renewable energy and vocational training programs.
Proficiency in using social media platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
