The Farm at Trinity Health Oakland is one of the nations first hospital-based farms working to improve health outcomes and increase access to healthy foods. The Farm grows a variety of flowers and vegetables on the grounds of the hospital and we depend on volunteer help to plant, weed, trellis, trim, and harvest produce that is donated to patients and healthcare providers, and sold to community members at our Farm Stand inside the hospital.

Volunteer Schedule:

  • Tuesdays 9am-12pm: Assist with microgreen production, Food Pantry organization, seed starting, and other various tasks.
  • Wednesdays 9:30am-1pm: Assist with microgreen production, Food Pantry organization, seed starting, and other various tasks.
  • Wednesdays 3pm-6pm:Farm Share/Food Pantry Distribution - Help with our food distribution day (Starts April 10th)
  • Thursdays 1pm-4pm: Community Cut Flower Garden maintenance and planting (Starts May 2nd)

No farming or gardening experience is required! Farm Staff will walk you through each task and ensure you feel comfortable through each step. This is a great volunteer position for someone who enjoys being outside and getting their hands dirty!
