Volunteer Opportunity:
First-Generation Hispanic Professionals to serve as career advisors
I'm Interested!

We are looking for Hispanic professionals to serve as Career Advisors that will support students' career exploration and exposure. We are excited to partnering with CareerSpring, a 501(c)(3), an online networking and job placement platform for first-generation/low-income college students and graduates. CareerSpring leverages state-of-the-art technology and a Network of thousands of professionals, employers, educators, and community organizations to provide first generation students with career information, advice, and job placement services.

With CareerSpring, MiHC is bringing meaningful career support and opportunities to Detroit’s Hispanic and other first-generation/low-income students. We’re looking for positive, inspiring, real-world professionals to serve as Career Advisors on the CareerSpring platform for our students.

Career Advisors get the opportunity to influence the career launch of first-generation students through online video chats and by recording short career exploration videos. Serving as a Career Advisor will be deeply rewarding, but also efficient and manageable. As a Career Advisor, you have the option to set your own profile availability and limit how many conferences you have per month. All that’s required to get started is a short (~ 5 min) online registration process to establish your Advisor account on the Career Platform.
