Arbor Hospice

Volunteer Opportunity:
Gardening Help
I'm Interested!

At Arbor Hospice, located in Ann Arbor, we have several acres of property with gardens and ponds. Community members, family members of patients, and staff walk the property for healing and reflection. Children and families walk our paths for recreation and fun. We are looking for a group of 4-8 volunteers who are interested in working with our Master Gardener to give love and care to one of our dedicated garden beds on an ongoing basis. The gardens feature a variety of flowers and natural plants in areas around our building and our ponds. We also have a garden to honor veterans, a children's sensory garden, memorial gardens, a Monarch Waystation, and more.

We are flexible on your arrival time and how long you volunteer. Join us to support this important community space between 8AM-12PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. You must sign up at least 1 week in advance to participate with your group.

Garden gloves, shovels, and other supplies provided. Free, ample parking available. You would need sunscreen, a water bottle and any other supplies for spending a day with us outside. Lunch is provided for groups of 10 or more.

Corporate groups, faith groups, community groups, students, families and groups of friends are all invited. Volunteers must be age 14 and older.
