Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit

Read-to-Rover gives kids a chance to practice their reading skills while spending quality time with adorable shelter animals. During this half-hour session, children work one-on-one with an adult staff member to practice reading aloud to an attentive four-legged audience. 

• Open to children of all reading levels.
• You can choose to read to one of our dogs or cats.
• A trained adult volunteer or staff member will accompany the reader and animal at all times.
• We recommend bringing your own book - although we do have a small selection to choose from. 
• Each session is $10.
