"Adopt" a Child through Gift-Giving this Holiday Season
Christmas Wish serves children in Samaritas' Foster Care, Affordable Living (affordable housing), and New American (refugee resettlement) programs who miss out on other statewide gift-giving opportunities due to age, date of entry into care, or type of care. To give these children the opportunity for a “Merry Christmas”, we partner with individuals, groups, corporations, and churches who sign up to receive a wish list from one or more of these youth. The wish list will include some information about the youth, their likes, and a list of items they would wish for. Groups can alternatively participate by collecting individual toys (toy drive style) for newly arrived refugee children celebrating their first Christmas in the United States.
This wish list serves as a guideline as you shop for gifts for the youth (we suggest $100 per child). Gifts are due November 2-6 to the local Samaritas office distributing gifts, although dates may vary by location.
