We are excited to announce that we are looking for volunteers for our after school program. SAY Detroit Play Center serves as a learning center for Elementary, Middle, and High school students. Volunteers will provide tutoring services to students in English, Reading Literacy, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) subjects. We are also seeking volunteers to help ensure the program runs smoothly in regards to logistics and documentation.
Volunteers will be paired with students and provide tutoring based on the student’s educational and developmental needs. Through training, we ensure our volunteers are comfortable and prepared to engage our students. The program runs Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-6:00pm. As a volunteer, you can volunteer any two days out of the week. Tutoring sessions to last for approximately 75 minutes.
