Join thousands of individuals, primarily from corporations in Southeastern Michigan, from September 23-28, 2024, as we come together to clear blight and beautify the eastside neighborhood surrounding our new opportunity hub– Anchor Detroit!

We’re removing blight from the front yards of vacant properties (clearing debris and cutting down overgrown grass, weeds and brush) as well as renovating and beautifying our newly acquired vacant school building, the former Winans Academy/Dominican High School property.

All tools are provided, and volunteers will receive a t-shirt to wear on their volunteer day. Volunteers should bring their own work gloves and protective eyewear/sunglasses as well as wear pants and closed-toed shoes. All volunteers must be at least 14-years-old, and volunteers under 18-years-old must be accompanied by adults.

Below is the schedule for your volunteer day:

• 11-11:45 a.m. // Arrive at Six Day Project HQ
• 12-5 p.m. // Blight removal and beautification on assigned block

This opportunity is for both individuals and groups of any size.
