Schools-apply for RoboFest minigrant open to all girls Robotics Teams

The 2021 Robotics Grant Application is now open. Deadline April 30, 2021

MCWT supports girls in grades 4-12 by offering a series of $500 grants to all-girl teams participating in Robofest at Lawrence Technological University.

Robofest is a competition event that encourages students to have fun while learning the principles of STEM and computer science. Students use these skills to design, construct, and program robots.

Girls participating in Robofest have the opportunity to be creative and showcase skills in math and science. Robofest offers a wide variety of programs that fit many robotics experience levels and interests. Past programs included:

- Having the first robot to intentionally push a bottle off a table, or the last robot remaining on the table
- Accomplishing robotics missions using fully autonomous robots
- Developing and participating in a robot parade
- Exhibiting skills during “mission impossible” challenges
