Job Description – Technical and Social Media Assistance
As Ladies of Charity (LOC) shifts to a virtual world and online environment due to constraints on social interactions, we need support for the following volunteer positions. These positions have limited hour requirements and could be filled by multiple individuals. They are:
1) Social Media Coordinator – LOC has a Facebook page, but has no exposure on Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn. This individual would strategize with the LOC President as to how to use these tools to publicize events, fundraisers, collaborations with others, and charitable activities.
2) Constant Contact Publisher – Working with the Corresponding Secretary, LOC distributes e-mails to the membership, social workers and warehouse volunteers on a regular basis.
Constant Contact also requires list updates.
3) Website Support - Working with the Corresponding Secretary, LOC needs help with maintaining and supporting existing website functionality and issue resolution. There are periodic website updates. Knowledge of WordPress and HTML would be helpful in this role. One site, www.ladiesofcharity.site that is under renovation and a second site www.theladiesofcharity.org is ready to be launched in the next month. Content is published to these sites on an ongoing basis.
Every morning run the gtmetrix.com to check on the performance of the two websites. Make sure the two websites are up and running.
Assist the Corresponding Secretary to monitor emails sent by caseworkers or users of the websites for technical support.
4) Working with the Corresponding Secretary, newsletters such as LOC Highlights (semi-annual) and volunteer newssheet (monthly) are edited and published to the appropriate audiences.
5) Individual to support the LOC Clothes Closet/ Food Pantry Warehouse with Microsoft Excel reports. This job is an ongoing need to support reports needed for food distributors and agencies.
