What We Do
I have worked in this area for 15 years. I initially started at the northwest activity center and found my home at MaryGrove Conservatory. I enjoy working in this area because it brings me closer to the community. Especially the heart of the community which is the children. They are our future & it’s been my pleasure to help mold them through dance. There are not many opportunities presented to the children of our community to spend their time without being involved in illegal activities. I’m glad to say that I have been a positive outlet for many years. Even if the children don’t want to talk about their issues, they can dance it out. We also offer tutoring services and we provide food during the summer. We believe In the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” and we’re happy to be apart of that village.
Interesting Info
- We’ve had thousands of students and dancers over the years!
- Child dancers have better spatial awareness and visual reasoning skills, which help them perform better on standardized tests.
- The future goals for 3D is to expand our outreach and provide artistic avenue to a broader spectrum.
