Ascension St. John Foundation supports: Ascension St. John Hospital, Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Ascension River District Hospital and Ascension Eastwood Behavioral Health Ways you can make a difference: Child Life Services - Your gift helps Ascension St. John Children’s Hospital provide psychological support and education to reduce stress and anxiety for hospitalized children and their families. The Child Life Services program oversees the Pediatric Playroom, which offers therapeutic and medical play opportunities to cope with illness or injury. Gifts are used to purchase craft supplies, developmental toys and games to help normalize the hospital environment and promote coping. Preventative Heart Screenings - Ascension Mobile Health Center - Your gift helps provide comprehensive preventative heart screenings for adults, children and students who otherwise would not be able to pay for these lifesaving services. The 40-foot mobile unit travels to businesses, religious institutions and corporations throughout Southeast Michigan to provide convenient access and services for the community. Anthony L. Soave Family Mobile Mammography and Health Screening Center - Your donation helps provide state-of-the-art mammography services to women with limited access and financial resources. The motor coach travels to churches, community centers, corporations and other locations throughout metro Detroit to provide uninsured and underinsured women with these important healthcare screenings, resulting in earlier breast cancer detection, treatment and better outcomes.
