Clara’s Hope exists to help families have success in foster care and adoption.
Supports offered are geared toward moving families from simply surviving to thriving.
Clara's Hope is a non-profit organization serving Genesee and Livingston counties.
We work to fill in the gap between agencies and families by providing accessibility to supports and resources.
We utilize volunteers to provide meals, housecleaning, small home repairs, and childcare for foster families.
Our full time social workers help parents navigate court, explain paperwork and provide individual support to families through the ups & downs of foster care and adoption.
One of our main focuses is providing trauma training to individuals, churches, and schools and working to connect the community to the needs of foster and adoptive families so they aren't walking through this alone.
We believe everyone can do something- adult or child- and we want to raise awareness of the foster care issue in America. We are not a placement agency or a case management agency. We try to help people remove the barriers that would prevent them from becoming a foster parent or that would stop them from continuing as a foster family.
- Clara's Hope fills in the gap between what foster & adoptive families need and what the agency can provide.
- Clara's Hope families are strengthened to continue offering foster care & not disprupt their adoption with an over 90% retention rate for the families we serve.
- Foster Families are 100% full time volunteers. We support them in their yes, throughout adoption as well.
