What We Do
CAYF is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization established in 1982 to provide financial support and mentorship to young Detroiters pursuing a college education. CAYF has provided over 450 college scholarships and personal guidance to eligible students from Detroit schools, of all backgrounds. To date, CAYF scholars have maintained a 90% graduation rate, and 60% of those graduates have returned to metro Detroit to live and work.
Acceptance and participation in our scholarship and after school program are the same for everyone without regard to religion, race, color, national origin, age, sex, handicap or sexual preference.
