What We Do

Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc. provides hope and healing to those they serve. They have four programs including:

  1. Clinton Counseling Center: This outpatient mental health and substance use counseling center provides critical support to individuals struggling with mental health issues, trauma, and addiction. The center offers individual and group therapy and preventive services, helping clients manage their mental health, recover from addiction, and develop coping skills to improve their quality of life.
  2. Clinton Counseling Center Jail Program: Operating within the Macomb County Jail, this program offers mental health and substance use support to incarcerated individuals. Through counseling and therapeutic services, the program addresses the underlying issues that may have led to incarceration, such as trauma or addiction. The program also prepares individuals for reintegration into society, providing them with tools for a fresh start.
  3. Family Youth Interventions: FYI provides a lifeline for runaway and homeless youth ages 12-24, offering an emergency shelter, transitional living, and a rapid-rehousing program. Youth receive basic needs like food, clothing, and a safe place to stay, along with counseling and crisis intervention. The program’s goal is to provide immediate safety, help youth stabilize, and work toward family reunification or other safe living arrangements whenever possible.
  4. The Harbor: Located in St. Clair County, The Harbor is a shelter for runaway and homeless youth, similar to Family Youth Interventions, offering safety, shelter, and support to young people in need. Youth receive counseling, life skills training, and a stable environment, helping them develop a sense of security and begin building a path to self-sufficiency.

Each of these programs serves a unique purpose, but all work together to provide a continuum of care for individuals, addressing immediate needs, promoting recovery, and fostering long-term stability.
