For 28 years, Destiny and Purpose Community Outreach (DAPCO) has supported families in Wayne and Washtenaw Counties, empowering individuals to lead healthy, productive lives. We promote family values and essential life skills.
Our Newest Project: Destiny and Purpose Village
Award-winning Community Service - Destiny and Purpose Village
Launched in 2024, this shelter for homeless mothers and children dedicates 50% of its units to homeless female veterans. It serves as a community hub, offering:
- Emergency shelter units
- Free weekly laundry services
- Supervised children's space for homework and crafts
- Baby Pantry
- Support services such as:
- case management
- workplace internships
- employment placement
- on-site work opportunities
Additional Services
DAPCO has built a history of supporting the community by offering a variety of services including:
- Annual Drive-Through Community Baby Shower
- Baby Pantry (year-round)
- Entrepreneurial Coaching for Women
- Friends Who Care Senior Patrol
- Parent and Baby in Need Program
- Senior Essentials Pantry (year-round)
- Youth Mentoring Program
