What We Do

The Detroit-Berlin Connection is at the forefront of amplifying Detroit's creative economy. Our core mission is to pave sustainable pathways for artists and musicians, ensuring they not only pursue their passion but also earn a justifiable livelihood. We salute the distinct essence of Detroit's artists and are committed to bolstering their trajectory.

To this end, our initiatives span from insightful conferences to a pioneering artist exchange program linking Detroit with Berlin. These ventures enable our artists and musicians to forge valuable connections, exchange insights, and elevate their crafts. Our ultimate vision is a flourishing Detroit artistic scene that stands as a pillar of both cultural vibrancy and economic dynamism.

In 2023, we proudly unveiled 'Detroit Nightlife United', a collaborative platform drawing together an extensive network of Detroit's creative stakeholders. Spearheading this mission is our Independent Night Ambassador, Adriel Thornton, dedicated to championing the interests of our diverse creative community – from artists, DJs, and producers to promoters and venues. Together, we're shaping a resplendent creative epoch for Detroit.
