What We Do

Dog Aide's mission is to assist Detroit dog owners who are experiencing financial hardship and struggle to care for their pets. No one should be faced with the decision of having to give up their beloved pet due to monetary issues. To combat this, our Community Outreach program was established to help with pet owner retention and shelter intervention, with the goal of #keepingpetswiththeirpeople. We provide families with dog food and daily care items so they can continue to care for their dogs during their period of hardship. Each month, Dog Aide delivers over 10,000 lbs of dog food directly to the doors of those in need.

To join this program, potential clients must be a resident of Detroit and be willing to have all dogs spayed/neutered (at no cost to them). Additionally, we ask clients that they do not add any other animals to their household while receiving services.
