What We Do

We protect, defend, and improve the Detroit River through community-based stewardship and restoration, now and for future generations.

Interesting Info
  • We started as a small group of concerned citizens who got together and successfully saved Humbug Marsh from redevelopment.
  • Volunteers and staff collected over 1,500 lbs. of trash from lower Detroit River islands and surrounding on-shore areas during 2022's Spring Cleanup.
  • We have eight restoration projects spanning the Detroit River that work to address erosion, wildlife habitat, and water quality.
