My Sistah’s Pink Journey “Our mission is to empower individuals who are diagnosed with breast cancer by alleviating their financial hardships and allowing these patients to focus their energy on healing. Studies show that working people that are receiving cancer treatment missed about 22 more work days a year than those that did not have any cancer treatment. We provide temporary financial assistance to patients whose ability to support themselves has been affected by the side effects of treatment or inability to meet their work obligations.” We provide grants to qualified patients to cover the following:  Mortgage/rent payments Utility payments  Childcare payments, to a licensed facility  Auto payments/Insurance  Grocery store gift cards  Gifts for encouragement (Comfort Care Packages, meals and/or flowers)  Holiday giving includes:  Thanksgiving family dinners  and our Christmas “Adopt-a-Family” Program. MSPJ provides an individualized touch to our recipients and their family giving them a sense of hope from a survivors point of view.
