What We Do

The mission of Starkweather Arts Center is to promote and foster the appreciation of the arts and artists and to support the preservation of the character and quality of life in the Historic Village of Romeo. We support the arts through monthly gallery art shows, concerts & Open Mics, classes, community art programs, gift shop sales of work from local artists/artisans and art/drafting scholarships. We are home to the Romeo Guild of Art. Each year we run an Empty Bowl fundraiser through our Clay Studio which supports local pantries. Since 2015 we have raised close to $20,000 for food pantries.
