UNIFIED-HIV Health and Beyond (UNIFIED) helps individuals experiencing or at risk of acquiring HIV across ten countries throughout Southeast Michigan. We provide easy access to innovative services for the whole person, regardless of HIV status, while promoting respect and acceptance without stigma.
Based on this commitment, UNIFIED continues to provide HIV prevention and care services through Southeast Michigan. Services address the social determinants of health that impact the acquisition, transmission, and progression of HIV. Among others, UNIFIED’s prevention services include the Michigan HIV/STD Hotline, HIV/STI testing and referrals, syringe access, and harm reduction case management. Care services include but are not limited to, case management, early intervention, psycho-social support, housing, and medical transportation. Related health services include tobacco reduction programming, certified health coaching, and overdose prevention interventions.
- UNIFIED helps 1,000 people annually that are living with and affected by HIV in Southeast Michigan
- 688 individuals received an HIV test and 483 received other STI testing
- 4,092 doses of Narcan were distributed and 128 overdose reversals were reported
