What We Do
UNIFIED-HIV Health and Beyond helps residents of Southeast Michigan who are living with or affected by HIV. UNIFIED provides case management, support services, prevention and education to residents in Southeast Michigan living with, affected by, or at risk of acquiring HIV.
In January 2015, two of Michigan's oldest HIV service organizations, AIDS Partnership Michigan and the HIV/ AIDS Resource Center merged to form Wellness Networks, Inc., d/b/a UNIFIED-HIV Health and Beyond (UNIFIED) creating the state's largest HIV service organization serving a ten county region in southeast Michigan. These two organizations had over 30 years of experience providing culturally competent HIV prevention and care services to some of Southeast Michigan's most vulnerable populations. Based on this commitment, UNIFIED continues to provide HIV prevention and care services through Southeast Michigan.
Services address the social determinants of health that impact the acquisition, transmission, and progression of HIV. Among others, UNIFIED’s prevention services include the Michigan HIV/STD Hotline, HIV/STI testing and referrals, syringe access, and harm reduction case management. Care services include but are not limited to, case management, early intervention, psycho-social support, housing, and medical transportation. Related health services include tobacco reduction programming, certified health coaching, and overdose prevention interventions.
