Henry Ford SandCastles

SandCastles Camp is a three-day, two-night camp experience for children and teens who have experienced the death of someone close to them. Many of our kids look forward to camp all year, and you can see how much it means to them by their smiles as they spend time in nature, participate in grief activities, eat s’mores by the bonfire, and most importantly, heal on their grief journey.  Volunteering at our SandCastles Camp is one way to contribute your time and support for children if you are unable to make the one-year commitment to biweekly programs. Camp is typically held in August.  Helpers that assist with the behind-the-scenes flow of camp activities and are essential to making sure camp runs smoothly. Camp helpers are required to attend a SandCastles Orientation as well as participate in an all-camp training prior to the weekend of camp.
