Group Facilitators work as a team to create a safe, supportive place for grieving children to heal. Volunteers will complete a comprehensive grief training to prepare them for their role in the children and teen groups. Once trained, facilitators work in a team with other volunteers to lead SandCastles grief support groups in activities to help the youth in our program learn healthy ways to express their emotions, memorialize the person/people who died in their lives, and normalize the grief experience with peers who understand. Facilitators are asked to make a one-year commitment, and consistent attendance is important to ensure the development of the group as a cohesive unit. Join us to help grieving children share, learn, and cope as they travel their grief journey!
