What We Do

Mercy Education Project (MEP) is a nonprofit organization in southwest Detroit providing educational services for underserved girls and women. MEP believes that education is the key to social and economic equity. When one girl or one women empowers herself with an education, a ripple effect of success occurs within her family and the community. Services provided include adult basic education, GED preparation, and workforce development for women; and a wide range of programs for girls including one-to-one tutoring, STEAM activities, college and career readiness, technology learning, emerging leaders, and summer camps in math, science, reading, and health and wellness.
