Community Treehouse Center Motorcity Makeover Volunteer Day: Sat, March 16, 10:30 am – 3:00 pm. 
Help Beautify our Community, One Garden at a Time!  Remember to bring your gloves and come out for a morning of composing, mulching, weeding, and relocating some of our beloved beds to new locations. Let's plant fresh vegetables and vibrant flowers while keeping them hydrated with some much-needed watering.  Large groups, teens, families, and kids are welcome.

Gilda’s Club Detroit is seeking someone to donate an hour of your time (bi-weekly or monthly) to lead any type of fun activity, such as game nights, movie reviews, food tastings, photography, etc. for the members we serve within our community who have been impacted by cancer. Sessions will be facilitated at our Royal Oak location. Dates and times of the programs are based on the facilitator’s schedule and the current program schedule.

Easterseals MORC has opportunities available this spring and throughout the year.  Volunteers are needed to assist with administrative related tasks.  You can help stuff envelopes, organize auction items, and various other types of support.  Small teams are welcome.  

Gleaners Community Food Bank needs Taylor Warehouse Support.  Gather your teams, large or small, to help execute food distribution to delivery channels.   Many hands make light work!

Walk to End Alzheimer's is calling for enthusiastic volunteers to help plan and organize the Detroit Walk to End Alzheimer’s in November.  Planning Team members will meet a couple times per month to plan the details and ensure the event’s success. 

Join Friends of Rouge Park and Greening of Detroit as we come together to bring beauty and sustainability to Rouge Park Drive. We are excited to announce a massive tree planting project and we need YOUR help to make it a success!  We aim to plant 100 beautiful cherry trees along Rouge Park Drive on April 6th from 9 am – 1 pm.  Volunteers needed: 200, including teens and children.

Volunteer with SAY Detroit on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, (9am - 1pm) as a part of The Greening of Detroit, a fun-filled day of planting trees and help to expand Detroit’s canopy cover. Large and small groups are needed, and all ages are welcome. Training and tools will be provided. Register by March 20th!

Hospitality House wants individuals, groups, and students to enjoy their service opportunities. Some of these include sorting food, assisting in the warehouse processing deliveries, re-stocking pantry shelves, and assisting clients as Grocery Shoppers while they 'shop' the pantry. If you or your business is looking for a great in-service day opportunity, Hospitality House is happy to have you!  Scheduled times are available for Mon, Tue, Thurs, and Sat.  Groups (2-10 people) and teens are welcome.

Teacher's Pet: Dogs and Kids Learning is looking for Event Volunteers for our Children's Village Program graduation on Tuesday, April 9th. Volunteers are needed to compile photo journals for the graduating trainers during their graduation ceremony.  Scrapbooking experience is ideal with a passion for creativity.    Program Volunteers are also needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15pm – 5:30 pm.

Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers (IVC) needs volunteers to help assist in minor home repairs for seniors and disabled adults so that they may live independently in their own home. Examples of repairs may include fixing a leaky faucet, installing a light fixture, or helping replace a screen door. You choose your availability and geographic preferences, and volunteer as much or as little as you would like! IVC also needs help for seniors with outdoor chores and yardwork. Volunteer opportunities can be done individually or as a group, and can include tasks such as raking leaves and sticks, weeding, washing windows, trimming bushes, and more! 

Racquet Up Detroit is seeking volunteers to help tutor in the classroom and/or assist with coaching on the squash court. If you, or someone you know is interested in being a part of this game-changing youth development program you can register for times, Monday - Friday, from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm or Saturday's, from 9am - 12pm.

Oakland Literacy Council seeks volunteers to serve as tutors to help adult learners reach their personal and academic goals. The learners may be preparing for the high school equivalency GED test, or they may be immigrants improving their English language skills. Our tutors work on a one-on-one basis with adult learners to create a personal and supportive relationship. 

Disaster Relief at Work (DRAW) has Wednesday Warehouse Open Volunteering.  Join us at our warehouse every Wednesday morning as we welcome volunteers of all ages/backgrounds to come together and contribute their time and skills towards disaster relief.
