Mend on the Move - Host a Ladies' Night or Corporate Event!
As a nonprofit, we thrive on support for our community. There are many ways to help us raise the funds we need to continue to support the survivors in our program. Below are some great options!
- Host a Ladies Night at your home or business. You can charge a cover charge that can be donated to our agency following the event. If you have over 30 people attending, we would love to set up our jewelry to sell to your attendees, as well!
- Host a Fundraiser at your office: Share our website and organization within your agency and ask for donations or encourage people to shop our website! All sales from our jewelry goes right back into our nonprofit.
Sponsor us at your event: Donate proceeds from golf outings, company events, and more.
Thank you for considering our agency as you look to support nonprofits in your area. ♥️
MCHS Family of Services - Becoming a mentor with MCHS is a great way to connect with our youth one on one. As a mentor, you will be paired with one of our Residential youth, who are boys ages 8-18 who live on our Redford campus, but have come to us through abuse and neglect cases. Due to the trauma that they have endured, they have not been successful in typical foster settings. We work with them through clinical mental health counseling and providing resources with the hope that they can go on to be placed in a typical foster home setting or reunited with family. Groups 2-10 are needed.
Bridging Communities - needs Medical Transportation Drivers! We are a small nonprofit in SW Detroit that services local seniors with medical transportation needs to and from appointments. The appointments are usually in the Detroit area, but some may be outside of the city. A background check is required, and you must have your own vehicle. Groups 2-10 are needed.
United Community Family Services – Food pantry volunteers are needed for food distributions on the second and fourth Friday of each month to qualifying UCFS/ CALC clients. Volunteers assist in packaging goods for families in need on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month. On the 2nd & 4th Friday each month volunteers assist in distributing food boxes to clients from 9AM-2PM. Groups, large and small, are needed.
Life Remodeled – LIT Fridays - Once a month we host a teen event for the community! We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to help serve food, decorate, set-up/clean-up and have FUN with the youth! Encouraging and affirming adults invited to participate! :-) Contact us for the list of dates! Individuals, small and large groups are needed.
