Titan Equity Nourish Network (TENN) at University of Detroit Mercy is a student-led food justice program that fosters student and community collaboration for a more food sovereign Detroit. Every other Friday we drop off produce and smiles to our neighbors. Join TENN from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as we pack and deliver food to 55 families. Click here to sign up for a volunteer shift. 

Detroit Greenways Coalition advocates for a network of greenways, complete streets & bike lanes that connect people & places, improve quality of life, beautify neighborhoods & stimulate economic development in Detroit. 15 volunteers are needed to help provide new bicycles to our Bikes 4 Employees Distribution. Volunteer work includes welcoming and assisting participants. No technical skills are required. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, 3pm -7 pm.

Prom Remodeled Event Volunteers – Life Remodeled – Durfee Innovation Society
Timing is flexible within the designated time frame, you can specify your preference. Individuals & groups are needed, including teens ages 13-17.


Easterseals MORC is a non-profit health and human services organization. Miracle League of Michigan needs volunteers to help during the event. There are two opportunities: Concession help is needed to assist in serving food to our players and families. The Miracle League “buddy” system pairs each player with an able-bodied friend to assist them on and off the field during 2-two inning games. Buddies to assist players with disabilities play baseball, have fun and stay safe. Tuesday, June 4th, 2024.

The Friends of Rouge Park's Mission is to protect, restore, and promote a natural, environmentally healthy, and culturally vibrant Rouge Park that engages the community for the benefit and enjoyment of all.  Volunteers projects include trash cleanup, invasive species removal, planting/weeding and more.  Large group support is needed, children and teens can also help.  Saturday, May 18th, 2024, 9am - 1pm.

Sparrow Freedom Project needs help for The 2nd Annual Southeast Michigan 5K Freedom Walk and Human Trafficking Resource Fair to make sure this awesome fun and family friendly event goes smoothly. Every volunteer on the day of the event will get a volunteer t-shirt while supplies last. You may volunteer for more than one time slot if they do not overlap. You may also volunteer to set up or clean up if you are a walker or vendor. Multiple shifts available which are suitable for children, teens, and large groups.  

The Farm at Trinity Health Oakland is one of the nation’s first hospital-based farms working to improve health outcomes and increase access to healthy foods. The Farm grows a variety of flowers and vegetables on the grounds of the hospital, and we depend on volunteer help to plant, weed, trellis, trim, and harvest produce that is donated to patients and healthcare providers and sold to community members at our Farm Stand inside the hospital.  

Schedule for Farm Volunteers:

  • Tuesdays 9am-12pm: Assist with microgreen production, Food Pantry organization, seed starting, and other various tasks.
  • Wednesdays 9:30am-1pm: Assist with microgreen production, Food Pantry organization, seed starting, and other various tasks.
  • Wednesdays 3pm-6pm: Farm Share/Food Pantry Distribution - Help with our food distribution day 
  • Thursdays 1pm-4pm: Community Cut Flower Garden maintenance and planting.

Therapy Ranch needs hands-on work around the farm and with the horses. Sign up for their Monthly Volunteer Days! No horse experience is necessary. Duties may include: Carrying hay, moving props, fixing fencing, brushing horses and more.  Suitable for groups and teens.  Sunday, May 25th, 2025, 10am-12pm
